Notes on Simian Starchildren and Other Well-Meaning Creatures
Notes on Simian Starchildren and Other Well-Meaning Creatures was an exhibition of photographic, sculptural, and video work at CASS Projects, in Buffalolo, NY. The exhibition opened on the eve of the 1986 Space Shuttle Challenger disaster in January 2018. The exhibition inlcluded a site-specific installation titled Lullaby for a Lost Horizon, which converted CASS Project’s special programming space into a multi-media beachfront. The project investigates the mystical origins of space travel and the quest for immortality, with the 1984 Challenger serving as the locus.
